Difficulties people face in natural disasters

I lived in Taiwan,Taipei, I notice that typhoon is a very terrible natural disaster at my country,actually it hits Taiwan very often durring the summer time.We had to prepare lots of food an water before the typhoon comes.Because strong wind can distroy the electricity system.

I'm really afraid of the strong wind and hard rain,the sky is always dark. I couldn't be able to fell into sleep,it makes loud voices outside.Concerning that something might fall off, or the window might break apart.

Lucky that I live at Taipei,the landform is shaped like a bowl,we had mountains to protect our city. But I feel sorry for the people that lives near the mountains,it's always in danger.

[None are so blind as those who will not see.]

Blind people must learn harder than normal people,I could not imagine how they can learn by not seeing anything.They should be very curious about the color and shape,but they could just reconize the color "black".

I know a singer that is blind,and also writes music in Taiwan.His name is Shau-Huang-Chi,he sings very well with great feeling.His singing always can touch many hearts.Even though he is blind,he still dose not give up any chance that he has.
I think I was born lucky to have everything.

Experience looking for a job

I took my first job in Taiwan at the age of sixteen. It was at a hot pot buffet resturant. My brother worked there and introduced me. I only worked fo the summer vacation,as a part-time job for about two months.
The job was quite busy. They had two kinds of work. One was inside.We had to replenish the food when it was low. And we also offered seafood.The customer had to order from the waiters,and then we would have to serve it. The other kind of work was outside. We had to collect the plates and bowls and also clean the table when the customers finished eating.
This job helped me learn how to serve people politely and to solve problems that happen in emergencies. I also met many new friends there. We enjoyed working together. It was really a nice experience for me!

At Vegas!

I went to Las Vegas for three day last week. It took us 5hrs driving there. We stopped at a big outlet and bought lots of clothes. It was very hot in Vegas, its about 100 degrees. So I enjoyed shopping during the daytime, and sight seeing at night.

I saw many modern buildings, They are awesome!! I tried to play the jackpot, and put a dollar in, but it just ate it. I think it needs more money to earn money by that machine. I prefer shopping more than gambling!

I wish to go to Huntington Beach someday, and also visit the Huntington library,such is much closer for us to go to. I went there about 10 years ago, As I remember, it was beautiful.
